The American Cancer Society is pleased to share with you its Corporate IMPACT e-Newsletter. This e-newsletter was created to recognize and support the efforts of corporations engaged with the Society. It is published quarterly and is written from the employer's perspective using quotes and interviews to share best practices and insight into the decision-making process when a company decides to work with the Society. The e-newsletter profiles the work of corporations in areas of Community Involvement, Employee Wellness, Healthcare Policy and Benefits and Workplace Giving (payroll deduction campaigns). It also highlights the economic impact and successful practices used when implementing the Society's Workplace Solutions products. Malt-O-Meal Gets Active!
Malt-O-Meal Company has a long history of supporting wellness initiatives, and has provided 'physical activity' campaigns for many years. None have been as successful as the Active For LifeSM campaign, according to Valerie Cover, Benefits Manager at Malt-O-Meal. It was first offered to employees in 2007, and was so successful (over half of the entire employee population participated) that it was offered a 2nd time in early 2008 – and had equal success!
